RSL's Nick Rimando & Javier Morales To Help Open Team Store At Rio Tinto Stadium For "Black Friday"

SANDY, Utah (Friday, November 27, 2009) - Real Salt Lake will look to put a little Claret-and-Cobalt in Utah shoppers' "Black Friday" excursions to kick off the busiest shopping weekend of the year, as the club's staff, players, volunteers and season ticket holders will open up the RSL Team Store at Rio Tinto Stadium for the first time this Holiday season this morning at 10:00 a.m. MT. To open up in style, MLS Cup MVP Nick Rimando will be on hand to greet fans, sign autographs, and sell the remaining stock of his limited-edition "Nick is My Homeboy" t-shirts during the first hour from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by Argentine playmaker extraordinaire Javier Morales mingling with and signing for fans from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. As added incentives to arrive early, the RSL Team Store will continue its "Half-off Playoff Blowout" special on all non-MLS Cup Championship items for one final day on Friday (through 6:00 p.m.), and Vanity Fare Catering ( www.vanityfarecatering.com) will serve free pastries and coffee for all those early-rising shoppers braving the masses beginning at 9:00 a.m. outside the Team Store doors.

Should any of the initial run of RSL MLS Cup Champions merchandise (200 t-shirts & 100 scarves) be left over from the midnight kiosk opening at South Towne Center in Sandy, the remainder of the items will be moved over to the RSL Team Store in time for the 10:00 a.m. opening. With RSL merchandise flying off the shelves following last Sunday's MLS Cup triumph in Seattle, fans are encouraged to purchase their Claret-and-Cobalt gear before supplies are exhausted, as the RSL Team Store will not receive additional shipments of their regular and championship merchandise until next Friday, Dec. 4. Prices for the remainder of the Holiday shopping season will return to normal retail value beginning on Saturday - with the only discounts through the New Year going to RSL Season Ticket Holders (25% off).
