Royals' List Player, Jack Walker, Selected to Team USA U-17 Roster

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals would like to congratulate defenceman Jack Walker, a member of Victoria's 50-man Player Protected List, who has been selected to represent Team USA at the 2012 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament in the Czech Republic.

The Edina, MN native spent the 2011-12 hockey season playing for his high school team, the Edina Hornets. Walker appeared in 29 games for the Hornets, collecting 14 points (2g-12a) and 22 minutes in penalties.

The 5-10, 170 lb defenceman is the younger brother of Royals' forward Ben Walker. The 16-year-old was also drafted by the Lincoln Stars in the fifth round, 73rd overall at the United States Hockey League (USHL) 2012 Futures Draft.

The 2012 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament brings together teams from the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland and the United States to participate in a four-day tournament. This year's tournament will be held from August 7th to 11th, 2012 in the Czech Republic.

The Royals will kick off their 2012-13 home schedule on September 22nd when they will host the Vancouver Giants at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Season tickets and mini-packs are now on sale.
