VANCOUVER, BC - The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate 16-year-old prospect Taylor Vickerman on being selected to the 2012 US Under-17 Select Team. Vickerman, a native of Kennewick, Washington, was a 6th round pick for the Giants in the 2011 Bantam Draft, and last season picked up 13 goals and 28 assists for the Cleveland Barons Minor Midget team.

"We are very happy and proud of Taylor for this achievement", says Giants Executive VP & General Manager Scott Bonner. "This is a big step in his development and we're confident that the experience will help him when he attends our training camp in August."

Vickerman is one of 20 Americans on the team that will compete at the Under-17 Five Nations Tournament August 7-11, in Chomutov, Kadan and Klasterec, Czech Republic.
