Victoria, BC -- The Victoria Royals dropped a 4-1 contest to the CHL's top ranked Prince Albert Raiders, in their fourth game in five nights.

Notes:

Save-On Send Off: Raiders' forward Dante Hannoun registered an assist in his final regular season game at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Hannoun played parts of six seasons with the Royals (2013-19) and dressed in 286 games where he recorded 248 points (98g-150a), which is tied for fourth in franchise scoring.

Connections: There were seven players in tonight's contest that battled against their former team. Victoria had past Raiders' forwards D-Jay Jerome (2016-18), Kody McDonald (2018-19), and Carson Miller (2016-19). Meanwhile, Prince Albert boasted former Royals' Dante Hannoun (2013-19), Noah Gregor (2017-18), Jeremy Masella (2016-18) and Brayden Pachal (2015-17). In the game, Jerome tallied a goal, while Hannoun and Pachal each registered an assist.

Penalty-Shots: In the third period, Raiders' forward Parker Kelly was denied by Griffen Outhouse on a penalty-shot attempt. This was the third time this season that the Royals had faced a penalty-shot, and the third time they stopped the opposing shooter.

Milestone Nights: Royals' forwards Brandon Cutler and Igor Martynov both reached career milestones. Cutler played in his 150th WHL game, while Martynov skated in his 100th contest.

Coming Up: The Victoria Royals will begin a two-game road trip on Friday night against the Kelowna Rockets. From there, they will move to Kamloops to battle the Blazers on Saturday.

Back to the Barn: Victoria returns home on Friday, February 1st to begin their four-game homestand with a contest against the Tri-City Americans. The Royals will then play the Americans again on Saturday, February 2nd, followed by two contests with the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday, February 5th and Wednesday February 6th.
