Royals Announce Pre-Season Schedule

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the team's pre-season schedule. The Royals will take on the Elmira Jackals at First Arena in Elmira, New York on Saturday, October 9. The team then returns to the Sovereign Center in Reading to face the Trenton Devils on Sunday, October 10, at 5:05 pm.

The Royals are once again pleased to announce that the team's media partners, Reading Eagle, WEEU and Rock Hits Y102, have joined forces with the Royals to invite everyone in the Greater Reading Region and beyond to attend the Royals' pre-season game at the Sovereign Center against the Trenton Devils for FREE! Fans can gain admission to the Royals home pre-season game by simply presenting a coupon that will be published in the Reading Eagle in the days leading up to the pre-season game. Further information will be forthcoming on the precise days in which the coupon will be available. Also, the Reading Parking Authority will reduce the event parking rate to just $1.00 for all lots in and around the Sovereign Center on the day of the pre-season game.

As a part of the activities prior to the Royals home pre-season game, beginning at 2:35 pm on Sunday, October 10, at the Sovereign Center, Royals' Season Ticket Holders will be able to pick up their season ticket booklets. In addition, STHs will be permitted entrance into the Sovereign Center one-half hour before all other patrons (3:35 pm); and we respectfully recommend that, since the pre-season game is a general admission event, STHs arrive early in order to ensure the best available seats. The building will be opened to the general public at 4:05 pm.

The Royals host the team's tenth anniversary home opener on Saturday, October 23, 2010 (7:05 pm), when the Elmira Jackals visit the Sovereign Center.
