
Royals Acquire Defenseman Dinos Stamoulis

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the team has acquired defenseman Dinos Stamoulis ["DEEN ohs stah MOO lis"] from the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL in return for undisclosed consideration. Last season, Stamoulis (6'0/190) (24), who hails from Carle Place, New York, played all seventy-two regular season and seven playoff games for the Gladiators, assisting on six goals and picking up a total of 97 penalty minutes. In 2006-07, Stamoulis joined the Toledo Storm of the ECHL for the final fourteen games of the regular season after completing a stellar four year career at Providence College, where he scored seven goals, assisted on twenty others (twenty-seven points) and racked up 108 penalty minutes in 142 career collegiate games.
The Royals open the 2008-09 regular season against the Elmira Jackals on Friday, October 17, 2008 at First Arena in Elmira, New York. The Royals' home opener is set for Saturday, October 25, 2008, when the Johnstown Chiefs visit the Sovereign Center. Royals' full Season Tickets and Total Choice Flex Plans are now on sale.
