
Royals Acquire Campbell Arnold from Spokane Chiefs

Victoria, B.C. - The Victoria Royals have acquired 2002-born netminder Campbell Arnold and 9th round pick in 2021 WHL Bantam Draft from the Spokane Chiefs in return for Victoria's third round pick in 2023.
Arnold was drafted 28th overall by the Spokane Chiefs in 2017 and has been with the team ever since the 2019-20 season. During the 2017-19 season, the 6'0" one-hundred- and eighty-one-pound goaltender was with the Spokane Braves of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL). While with the Braves, Arnold played in 31 games registering a 3.24 GAA and a 0.913 SV%. As a member of the Chiefs, Arnold played in 36 games recording a 3.26 GAA and a 0.887 SV%.
"Campbell is a quick, athletic stopper, with a high battle level who refuses to give up on pucks. His compete level and experience will be a great fit with our group," said Ed Fowler, Director of Player Personnel. "We have followed Campbell's career since his minor hockey days on the island and are excited to welcome him back."
The Nanaimo native is expected to join the team this weekend and will travel with the Royals on their four-game road trip next week.
