
Roughriders Head North for Community Events

Members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club are heading up to Saskatoon and Northern Saskatchewan this week for a series of community events and appearances ahead of 2022 Training Camp.
Current members of the Roughriders including quarterback Cody Fajardo, receiver Shaq Evans, offensive lineman Dan Clark and kicker Brett Lauther will attend a series of events starting with the Dogs' Breakfast Thursday. May 5 at Prairieland Park. Members of the 2007 Grey Cup Champion Roughriders including VP Football Operations Jeremy O'Day, Andy Fantuz, Scott Schultz and Tad Korengay will also be the keynote speakers at the Dog Breakfast as they celebrate the 15th Anniversary of their championship win.
From there, the players will visit classrooms for Rider Reading Month, attend a mental wellness symposium and visit the Jim Pattison's Children's Hospital.
On Friday, Fajardo, Evans, Clark and Lauther, along with Gainer the Gopher and the Grey Cup will travel to La Loche in partnership with NexGen Energy. The players will serve breakfast to the community and visit two schools, participating in meet and greets and Q&As will students while they are in Northern Saskatchewan.
On Saturday, the players will be at the Rider Store at Midtown for an autograph signing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
