West Texas Roughnecks News Release

Odessa, TX: With one of the most impressive records in all of professional football over the past three seasons, the Odessa Roughnecks look to create a dynasty by building a championship caliber team once again in the 2007 season. The first step towards this goal is to host what will likely be the teams only open tryout this year.

The Odessa Roughnecks will be holding such a tryout on Saturday, December 9, 2006. Odessa's Ratliff Stadium, home of the now world famous "Friday Night Lights", will be the setting and participants should arrive at 8:00 AM for sign in with the workout beginning shortly after. The cost is $40 for pre-registration and $60 for day-of registration and all participants will receive a full evaluation and a Roughnecks Tee shirt. Athletic clothing along with turf shoes and tennis shoes will be the attire. The public along with members of the media are welcome to attend.

"It has always been this franchises' goal to have as many Texans, and particularly Permian Basin residents competing on this football team," stated Roughnecks head coach Chris Williams, "We have signed some of our best players from these workouts and plan on doing so again this season." All future Roughnecks should contact the team's offices at (432) 332-PASS (7277) for registration and further information.

Season tickets remain at the same low prices and continue to move fast. Further information about any Roughnecks related topics can be found by logging on to www.RoughnecksIFL.com, or by calling (432) 332-PASS (7277).
