Roughnecks Travel To Corpus Christi

ODESSA, TX.: Odessa Roughnecks will leave town tomorrow on another long road trip that has them going to Corpus Christi. Corpus is coming off a tough loss last week to the Swashbucklers, who also beat Odessa a 2 weeks ago. The Odessa Roughnecks look to continue to build off of their win against The San Angelo Stampede Express. Quarterback Walter Washington rebounded well last week against the Stampede Express as he was 19 of 32 for 248 yards from the line with 1 interception. He threw for 5 touchdowns and also scored once himself. Maurice Avery had a monster of a game, he had 61 receiving yards and 208 kick-off return yards. After a beating in Louisiana, Torrey Day scored 3 times and had 70 yards receiving. The Roughnecks have their work cut out for them this weekend but should fare well against the Hammerheads in a rematch of last years Intense Bowl.
