West Texas Roughnecks News Release
ODESSA, TX. : Players reported to Odessa today for training camp to kick off the 2007 IFL season. They will spend the day being passed through medical evaluations and other team processes before starting workouts tomorrow. After a meet-and-greet with team sponsors and season ticket holders on Tuesday night, the team will travel to Big Spring through the Saturday, March 31st pre-season game at Howard College. There are 35 top notch players that reported with a possibility of a few more players being brought in as some are released. The roster is comprised of a few familiar faces and plenty of up and coming talent. Below is the complete Odessa Roughnecks 2007 training camp roster as of today's date. The final roster may include only 24 players. A training camp schedule will follow this page.

Sunday 25: Players Report to Odessa from around the nation for training camp.
Players receive medical evaluations/physicals and paperwork is filed out.
First team meeting at 7:30 PM in Barn A on the Ector County Coliseum grounds.
Monday 26: Team Begins practices, 8:00 AM at Ratliff Stadium & 5:00 PM at Hood Jr. High.
Select players reading to children at three Big Spring area Elementary Schools.
Tuesday 27: Practices, 8:00 AM at Ratliff Stadium & 5:00 PM at Hood Jr. High.
"Meet the Team Party" for Ticket Holders/Media, 5:30-8:00 PM at Celebrations, 410 Grant, Odessa.
Wed- Fri 28-30: Practice at Big Spring High training facilities/indoor turf room 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 5:30 PM.
Saturday 31: Pre-Season Game 1: San Angelo at "Big Spring" Roughnecks, 7:11 PM, Howard College.
April
Sunday 1: Team will review players and make first cuts towards roster.
Practices in Odessa with times and locations TBA.
Mon-Tue 2-3: Practices in Odessa with times and locations TBA.
Wednesday 4: Press Conference at Direct Appliance Sales in Odessa, 1:30 PM meal and 2:00 PM Announcements.
Select players reading to children at Regan Elementary Schools.

Thr-Sat 5-7: Practices in Odessa with times and locations TBA.
Sunday 8: Easter Sunday, Team Volunteers as ushers at Mid-Cities Community Church services on Highway 191.
Monday 9: Pre-Season Game 2: CenTex Barracudas at Odessa Roughnecks, 7:11 PM, Ector County Coliseum.
Tue-Wed 10-11: Practices in Odessa with times and locations TBA.
Thursday 12: Odessa Roughnecks regular season, Final Roster announced.
Friday13: Team travel day to Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Saturday14: Game 1: Odessa Roughnecks at Louisiana Swashbucklers, 7:05 PM, Lake Charles Civic Center.
