FC Tulsa News Release

The makeup of the Tulsa Roughnecks squad for the team's inaugural season continues to evolve. Head Coach David Irving announced today that the team has come to terms with two more players.

The Roughnecks have added striker Kyrian Nwabueze and midfielder Steven Miller.

Nwabueze is a native of Nigeria who holds U.S. citizenship. The speedy forward played one season of college soccer, scoring 19 goals, including five game-winners, in 19 games for El Camino (Calif.) College in 2013. He also added five assists.

Nwabueze spent two seasons with PDL side Los Angeles Misioneros, netting 12 goals for the side.

His strong play earned Nwabueze a European contract with Armenian Premiere League club F.C. Banants where he made six appearances for the team in 2014.

Nwabueze attended Luezinger High School in Lawndale, California.

Miller is an attacking midfielder who will bring experience to the squad. He played collegiately at Colgate University for four seasons, finishing his career in 2011. After concluding his time at Colgate, he was selected in the 3rd Round of the MLS Supplemental Draft by the Montreal Impact.

Miller spent one season (2012) with the Michigan Bucks in the PDL before signing his first professional contract with Danish 2nd Division side Jammerbugt FC. He collected 1 goal in 12 games while in Denmark.

In 2014, Miller played for Coach Irving while with Wilmington in USL PRO, scoring 3 goals in 26 appearances for the Hammerheads.

He is a native of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

The Roughnecks are continuing preseason training in preparation for their USL opening match on Saturday, March 28 when they host the Oklahoma City Energy FC at ONEOK Field. A number of season ticket packages are currently on sale at TulsaRoughnecksFC.com and by calling (918)744-5901. In addition, individual game tickets are now available at TulsaRoughnecksFC.com.
