Long Island Rough Riders News Release
After last weeks victory over the unbeaten Cincinnati Kings more good news has followed. The Rough Riders have qualified for the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup for the 3rd time in their history. A win against the Wilmington Hammerheads this weekend will ensure a bye to the 2nd round of the Cup.
As sure as taxes and death, West Islip native Gary Sullivan has picked up his 4th USL Team of the Week Nomination. As this is being written the USL is confirming whether Sullivan's feat is a record. Stay logged on to the Rough Riders website to find out the latest news.
Congratulations must also be passed on to International World Cup Legend Wilmer Cabrera, he was also nominated for Team of the Week after his thunderous free kick and key role in the winning goal.
The Rough Riders will be appearing on WLNY TV Channel 55 this evening at 11pm on 'Live at 11' make sure you tune in. And if that not enough for you.
