Long Island Rough Riders News Release

The USL have just announced their team of the week, and once again the Long Island Rough Riders feature prominently.

Proving that the Rough Riders have strength in depth, three new players have stepped into the Team of the Week echelons after an outstanding run by West Islip's Gary Sullivan.

This time Paul Grafer, Derrick Etienne and Moussa Sy have been recognized, and rightly so for their excellent work in the defeat of the Wilmington Hammerheads.

This weekend the Rough Riders players will be performing but it will be in the community rather than at Mitchel Athletics Complex. The Rough Riders will be making appearances at many of the well run and entertaining soccer events on Long Island. As they do on Saturday evenings the players will be giving 100% and aim to please the crowds.

Rough Riders will be attending the Smithtown Festival, Lindenhurst Camp Day, the Oceanside Festival, and the Cross Island YMCA open house. We look forward to seeing you at these events to sign autographs and for photo opportunities.

The Long Island Rough Riders next home game will be on the June 11th 2005 at Mitchel Athletics Complex, Uniondale. The opponents will be the Harrisburg City Islanders who are currently 2-3-1 in the USL 2nd Division.
