Rough Riders to be highlighted tonight on MSG

Plainview, NY (April 19, 2006) - The Long Island Rough Riders, members of professional soccer's USL 2nd Division, will be highlighted as part of MSG network's "Metro Soccer Report" this evening at 10:30pm. The program will then be repeated on April 20 (Thursday) at 2:30pm and 6:30pm, April 21 (Friday) at 6:00pm and April 22 (Saturday) at 2:30pm.

Hosted by Red Bulls Analyst Shep Messing and MSG Network Reporter Steve Cangelosi, the program will preview the 2006 team with new Head Coach Flavio Ferri. Returning players and new additions will also be discussed with the team preparing for it's 2006 season opener this coming Saturday-April 22 @ 7:30pm when they take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale. It will also be "Adidas Night", with a FREE size-5 Adidas soccer ball being given out to the first 2,000 paid attendees.

The Rough Riders, with a 20-game regular season, will host 9 games at their home field at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, NY. Their 10th home date will be played at Stony Brook University on Wednesday-June 7, 2006. The team's next home game will be April 29th when they host the New Hampshire Phantoms on "Thunder Stick Night", when the team will be giving out 3,000 pairs of the fan noise makers at the gate.
