Rooks Hired By Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx announced today that the organization has hired Chris Rooks as a Corporate Sales Manager. Rooks will report to Vice President of Corporate Sales Conrad Smith.

Rooks will be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of club-controlled inventory in television, radio and signage, as well as promotions, suites, publications, tickets and hospitality.

Additionally, Rooks will handle researching and establishing leads for corporate relationships, developing corporate partner proposals, delivering corporate partner presentations, generating new sponsorship sales, and working closely with the corporate services department to ensure contract fulfillment.

Prior to joining the Timberwolves and Lynx, the Ohio State University graduate worked for the Huntsville Flight of the National Basketball Development League.

In his two years with the Flight, Rooks served as Senior Manager of Marketing and Sales and oversaw the daily operations of the team's corporate sales, advertising and promotions, tickets sales, community relations, public relations and game operations department staff. Within his duties he promoted the Flight and NBDL brands, developed corporate marketing partnerships and generated publicity for the team's community outreach initiatives.

Rooks also served as a Client Services Manager for the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets for two seasons prior to his tenure in Huntsville. While in Columbus, Rooks executed corporate marketing partner contracts, including signage design and placement, game operations, in-arena and local market promotions, hospitality and advertising.
