Rogues Sign HR, RBI Leader

MEDFORD, OR - The Medford Rogues today announced the signing of 1B/3B Matt Page of Oklahoma Baptist University. Page, a junior from Redwood City, CA, is currently hitting .379 with six home runs and 38 RBI through 19 games with the Bison. He currently leads all of college baseball in runs batted in and is tied for first in college baseball (including NAIA and NCAA schools) in home runs.

Page was named Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week for Feb. 27-March 3, an honor earned by hitting .526 with five home runs, 18 RBI, four walks and nine runs scored. He had four multi-hit games on the week and on March 3 he went 5-9 with three home runs and 12 RBI in a doubleheader sweep by the 14-5 Bison.

Page will join the Rogues in late May and should be ready to start the season with the team on May 31.

The West Coast League is an 11-team collegiate wood-bat baseball league composed of the best college players, coaches, facilities and operators in the industry. Ranging from Medford, Oregon north to Kelowna, B.C., the league has operated as the WCL since 2005. In 2012, a league record 57 WCL players were selected in the Major League draft.
