Ricoh Coliseum:

Construction as of August 1st is 70% complete. The project is on schedule for the Home Opener of the Roadrunners on Saturday November 1, 2003.

In the Community:

Working with the CNE, plans are underway to participate in the Sports Zone during the CNE's 125th Anniversary with the Toronto Sun and FAN 590

Public/fan response to the Roadrunners' booth during the Molson Indy was quite positive

Ticket Sales:

With our schedule now released the Roadrunners will be introducing some smaller packages to supplement our Season Ticket packages.

Individual game sales will be ready for early September.

Hockey Operations:

The Toronto Roadrunners announced the appointment of Geoff Ward, as their new head coach, and Scott Howson as General Manager and Governor of the Toronto Roadrunners of American Hockey League. Ward was previously head coach for the Hamilton Bulldogs and took them to Game 7 of the Calder Cup final. In another release, a new conference and division alignment and the new format for the Calder Cup playoffs was announced. Toronto falls under the Western Conference, North, and will be competing with such teams as St. John's Maple Leafs, Hamilton Bulldogs, Manitoba Moose, Cleveland Barons, Rochester Americans and Syracuse Crunch.

The Edmonton Oilers have also signed a few players that may see some action in Toronto this season, enforcer Rocky Thompson and goaltender, Stephen Valiquette.

Ricoh Coliseum is scheduled to open November 1st against the Rochester Americans.
