Rockstars Marques Sullivan signs with Chicago Rush

Chicago, IL. Marques Sullivan, a former NFL player, has signed with the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League (AFL). He will play offensive guard for the 2006 Arena Bowl Champions. Sullivan is a majority owner of Chicago's new ABA team, the Chicago Rockstars. Sullivan said that the AFL and ABA provide "a real alternative in Chicago sports." Sullivan sees how these two professional sports teams compliment each other.

Both the Chicago Rush and the Chicago Rockstars provide "an exciting, entertaining product, without the high cost as with other professional sports teams. They provide great family entertainment."

Sullivan played for four seasons in the NFL as an offensive guard and tackle with the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants and New England Patriots. He played at the University of Illinois, where he as a All-American and voted an All-Big Ten player twice. In high school, he played for Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois.

The ABA season begins on November 10th and the Chicago Rockstars will play their inaugural game in Chicago at Northeastern Illinois University's Physical Education Building located at 5500 St. Louis Avenue on the Northwest side of Chicago.
