Casper Ghosts News Release
The Casper Rockies took advantage of six Great Falls errors Wednesday night to win their third straight, 9-6. Casper got down early with the Sox scoring a run in each of the first four innings before the Rockies bats got going again.
In the 6th Casper rallied for three runs to tie the game at 4-4. The seesaw game continued into the 8th before the Rockies nailed four runs to the board and captured their first lead of the night. Eric Young Junior hit his third triple of the season in the inning before Kyle Blumenthal hit his second home run of '05.
Starter Chaz Roe went four innings for the Rockies but did not figure in the outcome. Roe struck out three and walked none in his stint. Ricky De Los Santos earned the win out of the Rockies pen and Andrew Johnston pitched the 9th for his league-leading eighth save. Johnston still has a perfect 0.00 ERA this season.
The Rockies go for the sweep in Great Falls tonight at 7:00. Casper will then return home for a six-game home stand at Lansing Field.
