
Rockies take series opener from Orem

The Casper Rockies hot end to the first half of '05 has carried over into the second half, at least the first two games. The Rockies followed up Saturday's win in Idaho Falls with a 7-4 win in Orem on Monday night.
Casper pounded out 14 hits in the win. Trevor Allen was 3-5 with a home run and two RBI's on the night. Cole Garner also enjoyed a three-hit night. Chaz Roe started and worked five solid innings and earned his second straight win over the Owlz. Roe fanned five and allowed just two hits. Andrew Johnston also worked another perfect 9th for his league best tenth save.
The Rockies and Owlz play game two of three tonight at 7:05. Alan Johnson is slated for the Rockies against Jose Arrendono of Orem.
