Casper Ghosts News Release
The Casper Rockies tried and failed at their first attempt of a series sweep over Ogden on Monday night. The Raptors opened the ballgame with two runs in the first and eight runs in the second and cruised to a 12-3 final score.
Ogden lefty Marlon Arias baffeled the majority of the Rockies lineup. Arias fanned seven in five in and 2/3rd inning of work. The lone player for Casper to do much offensively, was catcher Luke Sargant, who went 2-3 and was named the Subway Player of the Game after hitting his first home run of the 2005 season in the 2nd inning.
The Rockies as a team managed only five hits on the night. Starter Robinson Fabian absorbed the loss for Casper as he fell to 0-2 on the season.
The Rockies head to Utah for a five game road trip this week. They will play Orem for three nights and then head to Ogden for the final two games of the trip.
