Rockies drop finale to Sox

July 15, 2005 - Pioneer League (PL)
Casper Ghosts News Release

The Casper Rockies looked like a team on a mission in the first inning of Thursday night's 11-5 loss to Great Falls. Casper scored three runs in the inning and starter Anuery Rodriguez was nearly perfect through the first two innings.

Then the third inning struck for Casper. Great Falls brought 12 men to the plate in an eight-run inning. The wind was effectively out of Casper's sails. The loss evened the two clubs at two wins a piece in the four-game set. Trevor Allen had a three-hit night for the Rockies and first baseman Bret Berglund was 2-5 with a pair of RBI's.

The Rockies head north for the first time this season with a three-game set in Billings, and then four in Great Falls. Right-hander and Rockies first round draft choice Chaz Roe starts for Casper in Billings Friday night at 7.
