Casper Ghosts News Release

The Casper Rockies were three outs away from their fifth straight win Wednesday night when some mysterious voodoo hex came upon the Rockies infield. With closer Andrew Johnston in the game and ready to pounce on Great Falls yet again, two errors allowed three Great Falls runs to score to hand the White Sox a 6-4 win.

Casper got down early again to the Sox, trailing by two runs when Eric Young Jr. emptied the bases in the 7th with a 3-run triple, giving the Rockies a one-run lead 4-3. Rockies skipper PJ Carey said after the game that, "Tonight was a tough loss after battling back like we did . . . our pitching was great late once again. Just one of those nights . . . we'll be back tomorrow though."

The Rockies and White Sox put the wrap on this home stand at Lansing Field Thursday night at 7:05. Speaking of wrap, Thursday night at Mike Lansing Field the Rockies will be celebrating Christmas in July. The Rockies are asking all of their fans to bring unopened gifts and toys to the park that will be collected by the United States Marine Corps as part of their "Toys for Tots" program. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a Casper Rockies 5th Anniversary Christmas ornament from First Interstate Bank. Lansing Field will be decorated with Christmas cheer by Party Zone of Wyoming and Santa will be making a special appearance as well.
