
Rockers Earn Decisive Win Thursday Night

Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers win big over the Madison Mallards Thursday night, 11-4.
Madison scored first on a Josh Caron solo home run to right in the first, but Green Bay responded quickly with two in the bottom of the first. Keniel de Leon knocked in Tristin Garcia and Griffin Stevens with a single to center.
Green Bay had a huge second inning, in which they scored six times and had 10 batters come up to the plate. Chase Hudson doubled home Carson Yates; Garcia doubled home Hudson; Justin Simpson scored on a Griffin Stevens groundout; Danny Wuestenfeld doubled home Garcia; and de Leon capped off the frame with a two-run home run.
The Rockers added two in the fourth on a Garcia two-run single.
Madison made it 10-2 in the sixth when Scott Shaw grounded out to third, and the play scored Josh Caron.
Green Bay responded when de Leon singled home Griffin Stevens.
The Mallards added two in the seventh on a Liam Moreno two-run triple, which wound up being the final scoring play of the game.
The Rockers look to sweep the Mallards Friday night in Madison. Dylan Carter will get the start for Green Bay, with first pitch at Warner Park slated for 6:35 p.m.
