Rock River escaped a late Sioux City drive in the final seconds of the game to secure a first-round victory at home. The Raptors quarterback combination of Ben Sankey and Ryan Aulenbacher threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns. Rock River will be in good shape if Aulenbacher has to start as he has proven himself to be the best back-up QB in the UIF this season as he has thrown for 640 yards and 11 touchdowns. Aulenbacher was named UIF Offensive Player of the Week in Week 8 for his five-touchdown performance vs. Fort Wayne. Lexington's defense will need to figure out the Raptors as Lexington allowed 62 and 55 points in their losses to the Raptors this season. The Horsemen defense allowed an average of 35.0 points per game, which ranked 4th in the UIF. Lexington led the UIF with six First-Team All-Stars. William Mulder was award the UIF's Special Teams Player of the Year.
