
Rock Cats Ready to Rock on Radio

New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT- The New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, has announced that for the third consecutive season Fox Sports Radio 1410 will serve as its flagship radio station. The Hartford radio outlet, which carried the New York Yankees for several seasons, will broadcast all 71 home games live both afternoon and evening broadcasts. All 142 games will be streamed on-line on www.foxsportsradio1410.com and aired in high definition on ESPN 97.9 HD-2. In addition, road games will be aired on WMRD AM 1150 (Middletown) and WLIS AM 1420 (Old Saybrook).
Radio voice Jeff Dooley returns for his 17th season calling Rock Cats Baseball. Dooley is the longest tenured broadcaster in the Eastern League. His play-by-play highlights and interviews are often heard on the Minnesota Twins Radio Network and were featured nationally on ESPN's Mike & Mike Show. Dooley will also provide daily reports on the Rock Cats each morning on Fox Sports Radio 1410 and WMRD/WLIS. Fans will get to listen to the Rock Cats starting tonight, Opening Day 2014 at 6:35 PM vs Richmond.
The radio partnership with Clear Channel Communications will also give the Rock Cats a promotional platform on the entire family of stations including ESPN Radio 97.9 FM WUCS. The ESPN and Fox Sports format will brand the Rock Cats with national shows such as Mike & Mike In the Morning, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Scott Van Pelt & Ryen Russill, The Dan Patrick Show, Jay Mohr and local shows with Paul Nanos (mornings) AM 1410 and interview segments on ESPN FM 97.9.
