Rochester takes over first with win over Wilmington

Rochester, NY- Sammy Monroe had a game high 21 to lead Rochester to a 121-105 victory over Wilmington. With the victory, Rochester takes over sole possession of first place in the PBL's Eastern Division.

Rochester led by nine after one, but then Wilmington outscored the RazorSharks 30-24 in the second quarter as they were able to cut the lead down to five at the break.

After the break, Sammy Monroe and Jerice Crouch took over from the outside, and Wilmington was not able to contain the RazorSharks sharp shooting. The RazorSharks shot 46.4 percent from the field and hit 16-38 from three point range.

For Rochester, Jerice Crouch added 19 with Steve Hailey pouring in 15 for the victors. For Wilmington, who now holds the fifth and final playoff position in the PBL, it was Cedric McGinnis with a game high 24; Jim Jones added 23. McGinnis also added a dozen rebounds.

Up next for Rochester is a Sunday road contest against 1-15 Buffalo. This will be the first of a three game series between the two teams. For Wilmington, they are at home to take on Detroit this Sunday.
