Rochester RazorSharks at Dayton Air Strikers Game Notes

This is the fourth of five meetings between these teams. The Air Strikers beat the Sharks on New Year's Eve in Rochester, winning their first Premier Basketball League game. Dayton has won just two of fifteen since.

The RazorSharks (9-7) have won seven of their last eight and five straight to move from fifth to third in the PBL. The top four teams qualify for the playoffs.

Rochester won at Kentucky Sunday 109-95. Keith Friel scored a team high 21 points, his best since scoring 30 in that season opener against Dayton.

Friel is the league's top three-point shooter. He has 40 in 15 games. Jared Carter is the PBL's second leading shot blocker with 27 in 16 games. Sammy Malone leads the Sharks in scoring averaging 16.3 in 9 games.

Rochester won its last two games against Dayton by a total of 50 points.

The Air Strikers (3-13) have lost three straight games, all on the road by an average of 17 points, the most recent at Lawton-Fort Sill 130-111 Sunday.

Carlos English led Dayton with 23 points against LFS in his first game with the Strikers. English is a 5-9 guard. The former Cleveland State star played most recently with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the D-League.

Phillip Mickey Perry connects for 2.5 three-point field goals per game, second only to Rochester's Keith Friel. Perry has 25 in 10 games.

Of note: Rochester point guard Jerice Crouch plays in his 86th consecutive game breaking the franchise record help by Demond Stewart.

Of note: RazorShark guard Todd McCoy is an Indiana State grad class of 2008. The Sycamores play Syracuse Friday in the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Of note: Dayton's Perry scored 39 points in a game at Kentucky last month. That's a single game league high.
