Mahoning Valley Thunder News Release

BOARDMAN, Ohio- The Mahoning Valley Thunder is pleased to announce that the arenafootball2 League Office has assigned Defensive Lineman Eddie Robinson to the team for the 2008 season. Robinson enters his second season with the Thunder.

Robinson (6'5, 300, West Virginia State) joined the Thunder with five games remaining in the regular season and quickly became a starter along the defensive line. Playing in the final five games, Robinson totaled seven tackles including one tackle for loss as part of a defensive line that created 13 quarterback pressures over the season's final five games.

"We're thrilled to be able to bring Eddie back for 2008," said Thunder Head Coach Mike Hold "He came in late last year and gave us an immediate boost along the defensive front. We expect Eddie to continue to improve and help some of our new guys make the transition to af2."

The Mahoning Valley Thunder opens the season at home Saturday March 29th on Cortland Banks Field inside the Chevrolet Centre. Be a part of all the action in 2008 as the Thunder continues their climb towards the ArenaCup9 Championship. Season ticket prices start as low as $96 and are on sale now. For more information call the Thunder Offices at 330.758.4af2 (4232).
