
Robillard, McLane Selected as 2023 NECBL All-Star Game Broadcasters

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Ocean State's Nathan Robillard and Vermont's Noah McLane have been named as the 2023 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) All-Star Game broadcasters, selected by their broadcasting peers and representatives from the front office.
The two broadcasters will take their talents to historic Fraser Field next Sunday, where they will cover all the events and festivities, beginning at 2:00 PM with the Home Run Derby.
At 4:30 PM, they will join the booth as color commentators alongside John Brickley from ESPN's Baseball Tonight, for the call of the 2023 NECBL All-Star Game, presented by Metro Credit Union. Danbury's Ricky Podgorski (Maryland) will also be joining the crew as the sideline reporter.
Both events will be broadcast live, free-of-charge on the NECBL Network, powered by BlueFrame Technology. They will also be aired in tape delay to 75 million households across the country.
Robillard is a rising junior at the University of Rhode Island studying sports media and journalism. He currently works as the Sports Director for WRIU 90.3 Kingston, the official student-run radio station at URI, as well as the Sports Editor of The Good Five Cent Cigar, the university's student newspaper. In his two years at URI, he's called a wide variety of games across Rhode Island Athletics, including men's and women's basketball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, baseball and softball.
A regular PxP voice for the URI women's baseball team on both WRIU and ESPN+ during a historic regular season, Nathan traveled to Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington, DE to cover the team's Atlantic 10 postseason tournament run in 2023. In the last year, he has also traveled to the Barclays Center to cover the A-10 MBB tournament, and spent time at Gillette Stadium as a local beat reporter for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.
McLane is a rising junior at the University of Rhode Island studying Sports Media and Communications. Growing up in Worcester VT, McLane fell in love with the Vermont Mountaineers from a very young age. Noah began his broadcasting career in his sophomore year of high school where he provided play by play, color commentating and sideline reporting on CVTsport.net and the NFHS network.
The Junior is currently in his second year behind the mic for the Mountaineers and has tallied up some impressive hours at URI as well. Coverage at URI includes men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's hockey, football, baseball and softball. Noah works for the school radio WRIU and also calls games for ESPN+. This past season he spent most of his time covering URI women's basketball in a historic season, including being on the call for the first ever women's A-10 title and called multiple postseason games when URI hosted the first two rounds of the WNIT.
Scheduled for Sunday, July 23, the 2023 All-Star Game will be hosted by the North Shore Navigators at historic Fraser Field in Lynn, Massachusetts. Tickets for the event are $7 and are on sale now. For more information about the All-Star Game, click here.
The New England Collegiate Baseball League is a wooden bat college summer league that fields teams in all six New England states.
