
RoadRunners Loose in Shootout

Topeka, KS- The Topeka RoadRunners took on the Wichita Falls Wildcats for a final score of 4-3 in a shootout. Jordan George had his first of two goals for the evening. Following George's goal, Jacob Poe scored. The Wildcats tied up the score with their first goal in the 1st period and the only goal in the second by Brett Hartung. George then scored his second to bring his team to a 3-2 lead. With 2:55 left in the game, Hartung then tied the game up 3-3. After overtime regulation the RoadRunners then fell to the Wildcats in a twelve person shootout.
The RoadRunners are on the road until December 31st, 2008 where they will host their 1st annual "New Year's Eve Bash." Special jerseys will be worn and auctioned off to benefit the Helping Hands Humane Society. Tickets can be purchased by calling the RoadRunners office at 785-286-7825.
