Long Beach once again came through with two outs on the board. The Armada added to its total in the fourth inning on a two-run single from David Ramirez for a three-run lead.
The first five RoadRunners batters reached base in the fourth inning against Armada starter Scott Lonergan on a walk, single, hit batter, single and another hit batter. Lonergan was able to retire the next three batters, giving up only three runs in the frame.
The RoadRunners offense wasn't through. Leavitt added a two-run double in the fifth inning off reliever Chase Baran, giving St. George a 7-2 lead. One inning later, Cody Nowlin blasted a three-run homerun, and Henry Calderon made it a back-to-back homeruns off Scott Watson for an 11-5 lead.
