
Roadrunners Alumni Hill Named NHL's Second Star of the Week

TUCSON, AZ - The National Hockey League announced its "Three Stars" of the Week today, including former Tucson Roadrunners goaltender Adin Hill as one of the recipients.
Named the "Second Star", Hill stopped 59 of the 60 shots he faced, compiling a 3-0 record with a 0.43 goals-against average, .983 save percentage and one shutout to the lift the Coyotes (12-11-2, 26 points) to a perfect week.
Hill turned aside all five shots he faced in 20 minutes of relief, guiding Arizona to a 4-3 comeback win over Minnesota on November 27. He then registered his first career shutout, making 29 saves in a 3-0 triumph against the Nashville Predators November 29. Hill finished the week with 25 stops in a 6-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues this past Saturday, December 1. The 22-year-old Comox, B.C. native - who made his season debut on November 25, owns a 4-3-0 record in eight career NHL appearances (2.27 GAA, .921 SV%, 1 SO).
On-The-Ice
The Tucson Roadrunners remain in second place within the American Hockey League's Pacific Division, riding a point streak of four straight games.
The team will play in their fifth I-8 Border Rival matchup Wednesday night in San Diego, when they take on the Gulls, AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.
Tucson forward Conor Garland was recalled by the Arizona Coyotes Monday morning and could make his NHL debut this week. The team's leading scorer (Eight Goals, 11 Assists, 19 Points in 18 Games) has multiple points in seven games this season, including back-to-back in the team's two most recent games against Ontario.
