Rockford IceHogs News Release

Rockford, Ill.- The hit documentary "RoadHogs: the Other Half of the Season" will make its television debut on Thursday, May 18 on Insight Cable in Rockford. The movie is a documentary that followed the 2004-05 Rockford IceHogs on the road and will begin at 6 p.m. on Insight Cable Channel 17. The movie is produced by seven11 Productions and is made possible by FatWallet.com, Featherstone Clinic, Metro Medical Services and Dental Dimensions.

With well over 1,000 copies sold to 39 states and eight countries, including England, France Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Canada and the U.S, the movie will make its first and only appearance on television. The "PG" version of the movie will air on Insight Cable Channel 17. Copies of "RoadHogs: the Other Half of the Season" can still be purchased by calling (815) 986-6465, logging on to roadhogsthemovie.com, or at the IceHogs merchandise store located at 202 West State Ste. 101 in downtown Rockford and is available for only $22 (tax included).

The IceHogs also kicked off another round of its online auction with two more special jerseys on the Hogs Web site, www.icehogs.com. Another 2006 Jersey Auction Jersey is on the block this week, with this one autographed by all the members from the 2005-06 Rockford IceHogs. The Lt. Hammy jersey is a "design your own" so it is a one-of-a-kind. Once again, no duplicate names or numbers from players on the '05-06 roster allowed.

The second jersey featured on this week's auction is a game-worn Molly McMaster jersey. McMaster became the first female skater ever to suit up for the IceHogs on Friday, March 17 and you can own the jersey that she wore. McMaster, a colon cancer survivor, was a part of a league-wide promotion in March to promote awareness of colon cancer. McMaster skated in her first and only shift in an IceHogs uniform on Saturday, March 18 and Rockford was the only team in the UHL in which she suited up for twice.

The auction ends on Tuesday, May 23rd at 1 a.m. (CT). All proceeds from this auction will benefit the IceHogs Charitable Foundation. The proceeds will be distributed to local non-profit organizations in the Rock River Valley. For more information about the first ever television viewing of RoadHogs, the IceHogs online auction or the IceHogs Charitable Foundation, call the IceHogs office at (815) 986-6465.
