Wisconsin Riveters Holding Tryouts

The Wisconsin Riveters are holding tryouts for the 2004 season to begin in April of 2004. For more information on tryouts call 262-551-0322 or email Info@WisconsinRiveters.com. The 2002 season was the Riveters Inaugural season into the WPFL. However this year the Wisconsin Riveters have joined with the National Women's Football Association (NWFA). The NWFA has 38 teams for the 2004 season and a Five-year broadcasting deal with the Football Network. The 2002 year brought us a proclamation from the Mayor of Kenosha, a Certificate of Commendation from the Governor of Wisconsin and the General Manager received a person of the year award from WLIP. Our average attendance from 2002 ranged from 700-1200 per home game and the Riveters won there National Conference Title giving them the opportunity to go to the Championship Game in Dallas, Tx.

The Wisconsin Riveters are pleased to announce the signing of 39 businesses as sponsors for the 2004 season. Some of the sponsors include; Dairy Queen, Associated Bank, Boelter + Lincoln which is an Advertising Firm that also has public relations, sales promotion, direct marketing and interactive as well as media advertising. Today, Boelter + Lincoln has grown too more than 40 people with billings exceeding $28 million, annually. The Wisconsin Riveters also received a 1972 Corvette Stingray as part of a sponsorship package.

For the 2004 season the Riveters will be holding an auto car show at every home game. It is going to be limited to only 45 cars. A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophy will be awarded at all four home games. All entries are good for all four auto car shows and any car can win more than once. The fans chose who the winner is and will be announced at half time along with the trophy presentation. The participants that enter the car show will receive two tickets per home game for the regular season. Ticket value is worth $80.00 dollars. Playoffs and championship games are an additional cost. The participants entry fee is either a half page photo of the vehicle or a full page photo in a special auto car show section in the program. The half page cost $100.00 dollars and the full page costs $200.00 dollars. Entries must be received by January 10th of 2004. The release of the schedule and the location where the Riveters will be playing will be available in November. Upon release of the schedule season ticket sales will start.
