
Passion Player to Appear on John Walsh

Nashville, TN-The National Women's Football Association (NWFA) is pleased to announce that one of it's own will be featured on NBC's John Walsh Show.. The NWFA is the largest tackle football league in the world with 37 teams in 23 states.
Jennifer Cairns is a Lawyer by day and a cornerback for the Pittsburgh Passion at night and on the weekends. Cairns will be featured, along with her Mother Claudia, on The John Walsh Show in a segment entitled 'Double Lives, Double Fun' scheduled to air Friday. "With over 1,500 players in the NWFA, we have a lot of ladies that fit the description the show was looking for," states Debby Lening, NWFA VP. "We are glad they picked Jennifer and her Mom to appear on the show. Jennifer is a great athlete and role model," adds Lening.
The league wrapped up its 2003 season with the National Women's Football Championship Game that was held at Vanderbilt University in Nashville in front of 5,726 fans.
The NWFA also has a 5-year TV deal with The Football Network, which includes a game of the week as well as coverage of the league's playoff games, the National Championship game and a weekly highlight show during the season. The 2004 season will kick off in April.
