York was first to score in the top of the third, after an RBI single by RF Tike Redman drove in LF Kaz Tanaka. The Riversharks bounced back in the bottom of the fourth scoring two runs. After 3B Denny Abreu reached on an error, DH Craig Paquette drove in Abreu on a single. CF Dwight Maness followed with an RBI double, his third of the season.
With Camden holding a 2-1 lead into the top of the ninth, York bounced back to score five unanswered runs. RHP Chris Fussell, who came into today with three saves in three attempts, entered the top of the ninth to save the game in typical fashion, but the cards did not fall into place. Redman, who was 2-3, was intentionally walked to load the bases. 2B Travis Hake was then hit by a pitch that drove in C Russ Cleveland for an unearned run, tying the game up at 2-2. York (2-4) managed to score four more runs before the inning ended.
Camden (3-3) was unable to bounce back in the bottom of the ninth, with the side going down in order. Fussell (0-1) picked up the loss for the Sharks, while York's Ryan Baerlocher (1-1) picked up his first win of the season, throwing eight innings with four hits, two runs and eight strikeouts. Sharks starter Greg Powell earned a no decision, hurling six innings, while giving up seven hits and an unearned run.
