ERIE, PA - (01-05-09) The Erie RiverRats proudly announce the appointment of Rebecca Rozic as their "ErieSistables Dance Team/Promo Squad Director."
Rebecca began her dance career in her hometown of Kansas City, MO. She spent her childhood years dancing at White Oak Dance Academy, and continued dancing through high school. Rebecca danced for the Kansas City T-Bones baseball team, and the Kansas City Comets indoor soccer team while she pursued her bachelor's degree in Business at University of Missouri, Kansas City. She relocated to Erie 3 years ago with her employer, GE Transportation, and joined the Penn State Behrend dance team while pursing her graduate studies there.
Additionally, Rebecca danced for the Erie Freeze for two years, one of those as captain; she joined the RiverRats for their 2008 Erie inaugural season as captain. " I am excited to take on the challenge of a director role after 3 seasons of Erie indoor football experience," said Rebecca. "The dance team is growing to include a promo squad this season. With our need to cover public appearances and crowd involvement, We decided to add 10-12 promo girls. This squad will allow us to include those that may not be ready to dance but want to improve their dance skills while having fun and being involved in this exciting sport."
Rebecca and her husband Tim currently reside in Harborcreek.
"Rebecca Rozic has stepped up to direct the group and we welcome her with open arms," stated VP/Director of business development Brenda Moran.
