(Belle Vernon, PA) - The Pittsburgh RiverRats of the AIFA continued to add depth to their offensive and defensive lines by re-signing Ron Idoko, who started on the DL for the RiverRats last season following his collegiate career at Pitt, and adding Ryan Faraci, who played OL for the Johnstown Riverhawks last season.

Idoko (6'3"-300) played in 8 games on the RiverRats defensive line in 2007, his first professional season. After a stellar high school football career at John F. Kennedy HS in the Bronx, NY, he walked on with an academic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh. In his senior year in 2005, he was rewarded for his work on the field with a full athletic scholarship.

Faraci (6'2"-285) is a native of McDonald, PA (South Fayette HS) who completed his first professional season with Johnstown in 2007 following a distinguished collegiate career at St. Francis (PA). He was a starter on the offensive line for an offense that set school records for total yardage in 2004 and 2005, and total rushing yardage in 2006. Ryan currently serves as the offensive line coach for the Red Flash and is working towards earning his MBA degree.

"Ron has obviously done great work in the weightroom. While he did a great job for us on the defensive line, we're strongly considering moving him to the offensive line. Not only is he one of our smartest and hard-working players, but he's got superior leverage and strength. I'm confident he could make this transition if asked. Ryan gives us another offensive lineman with experience in this league, which is valuable to us. He was on some NFL draft boards coming out of school, so we know we're getting a talented player here." commented Pittsburgh RiverRats Head Coach Shawn Liotta.
