RiverKings Watch Parties Move to a New "Spot"

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Mississippi RiverKings fans looking for their hockey fix when the team hits the road this upcoming 20th Anniversary Season will have a new place to get it at the new Official Away Game Watch Party location. The RiverKings have announced that The Spot Sports Bar and Grill in Hernando will serve as the location for fans to watch their favorite hockey team play on the road this upcoming year.

The Spot Sports Bar and Grill is located at 210 East Commerce Street in Hernando, just ten minutes from the team's home arena at the DeSoto Civic Center.

Hernando firefighter Sam Witt is the owner of The Spot Sports Bar and Grill and says he's very excited about the partnership. "We know how loyal the RiverKings' fan base is and we feel that we can cater to their needs, every game."

RiverKings Corporate Partnership Manager Dustin Starr says the road game parties will become a great night out for RiverKings' fans. "I want our fans to have just as much fun at the Away Game Parties as they do at the Civic Center! With the equipment, set-up and even the location of The Spot, we're going to have more fun than ever!"

Fans will be able to enjoy the CHL-TV broadcast of each RiverKings road game this season on the screens at The Spot.

Witt plans to offer drink and food specials for the fans during each Away Game Watch Party. He added, "The RiverKings organization, friends and fans are very close, and we're family owned and operated. We'll be able to offer a very enjoyable experience for everyone who comes out."

He added the Hernando location prides itself on being a smoke-free, family and kid-friendly restaurant.

Starr said, "I'm very proud of this partnership. Sam and Ms. Patty are great people and I'm happy they've teamed up with us."
