Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release

Pittsburgh, PA-The Pittsburgh Riverhounds travel to face the Rochester Rhinos for the USL PRO's Game of the Week on Friday. The game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel from Sahlen's Stadium.

The Riverhounds met the Rhinos in mid-June at Sox Harrison Stadium on the campus of Edinboro University to Kick-Off the PA West Youth Open Tournament. In that game, the Rhinos handed the Riverhounds their worst loss of the season, by converting three first half goals and walking away with three points.

Since that game, the Riverhounds have put together their best streak of the season. During the last six games, the Riverhounds have collected four wins and two draws to put themselves in playoff contention.

With national television ready to watch the two Clubs battle in a National Division contest, the Riverhounds and Rhinos will fight for their position in the post-season. The Rhinos are looking to maintain their top seed, while the Riverhounds are looking to keep their fourth place seat at the table.

The game has playoff implications written all over it and will definitely carry a physical and intense environment on the field. The two Clubs have a long history together, with the Rhinos handing the Riverhounds early exits from the A-League and U.S. Open Cup tournament over the last ten years.

The contest between the two Clubs has always been a highly competitive affair and nothing less is expected on Friday night.

Tune in to Fox Soccer Channel tomorrow night to see first-hand what professional soccer is all about.
