LOVES PARK, Ill. - The food at RiverHawks Stadium rocks, according to readers of the Rockford Register Star.

The Rockford RiverHawks' concessions were voted the best in the area, the Register Star announced when it released its annual "What Rocks in the Rock River Valley." The last time the paper named a "Top Professional Sports Team" category, in 2004, the RiverHawks won as well.

Ballpark fare ranges from standard items like hot dogs to unique offerings such as the Rocko burger, a 1-pound patty on a custom-made bun; a pork-chop sandwich; Asian food and grilled corn on the cob.

"This is one of the many parts of the ballpark experience that keeps people coming back," assistant general manager Todd Fulk said.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 10-team independent professional baseball league in its 14th season in 2006. Advertising, ticket and suite information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. All games are broadcast live on WRHL-FM, 102.3 - the Hub and online at www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
