RiverHawks Sign Right Wing Garrett Peters for 2010-2011 Season

The Augusta RiverHawks Hockey Club announced the signing of Garrett Peters, 21, for the 2010-2011 season. Peters plays right wing and played most recently played Canadian collegiate hockey at St. Mary's University.

"Garrett comes very highly recommended and he has the potential to be a leader on and off the ice for us."* *Said Head Coach Brad Ralph. "He has a great work ethic, great scoring touch and he is extremely athletic. We are excited to have him on board and we have high hopes for him."

Peters, five-foot-ten, 195 pounds, spent three seasons in the QMJHL with the Halifax Mooseheads and the Drummondville Voltigeurs. As a member of the Drummondville Voltigeurs, Peters recorded 31 goals, 26 assists, and 41 penalty minutes in 68 games during the 2007-2008 season.

Prior to playing at St. Mary's University, Peters spent time with the Charlotte Checkers in the East Coast Hockey League during the 2007-2008 season.
