Rockford RiverHawks News Release
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Rockford RiverHawks have sent pitcher Theron Minium to the disabled list.
The RiverHawks placed the rookie reliever on the seven-day disabled list on Friday because of rotator cuff strain. They also moved pitcher Tony Marsala to the 14-day DL.
Minium left Wednesday's game against Florence in the eighth inning. Minium has a 0-2 record, a 5.63 earned-run average and a save in seven appearances.
Marsala, on the DL for the same reason, has not pitched since June 5.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 19th season. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
