Quad City Riverhawks News Release
The Tip Off
The Quad City Riverhawks did not have the type of week they were hoping for after dropping two games to Rochester and Dallas respectively. Quad City now takes a eleven day break before hitting the hardwood again February 7th in Reading, PA.
Razor Sharks Take A Bite Out of QC
Rochester, NY- The Quad City Riverhawks could not over come a massive third quarter by the Rochester
Razor Sharks and were handed their second loss on the season, 107-94. The 'Hawks gave up an amazing 43 points in the third frame after leading at halftime 53-44. Quad City out scored Rochester 27-20 in the fourth but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback. Willie Mitchell (18 pts, 11 rebs) and Dave Bancroft (10pts,
11 rebs) both registered a double-double while Ryan Edwards lead the Riverhawks in scoring with 20 points.
Riverhawks Drop First Game at Wharton
Moline, IL- A new look Dallas Defenders got revenge on the Quad City Riverhawks with a 123-114 victory last Saturday at Wharton Field House in Moline. Dallas revamped their roster after starting the season 0-2
before going on a three game winning streak. That streak was halted last Sunday when they lost to
Arkansas 120-100. Former Riverhawk and ABA All Star Lonnie Randolph came one rebound and one assist short of a triple double registering 26 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for Dallas. Ty Johnson lead the
Riverhawks in scoring and came one assist shy of a
triple double. He tallied 34 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Willie Mitchell recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Looking Ahead...
The Riverhawks return to the court after an eleven day absence next Thursday when they travel to Reading, PA to take on the Reading Railers. It will be the first of three games in four days including their second trip to Rockford Saturday (2/9) to take on the Fury and a
Sunday (2/10) home game against the Arkansas Impact.

The Quad City Riverhawks are proud to
announce a new community relations project for 2008. "Wings of Hope" allows area
businesses the opportunity to support the
Riverhawks while giving back to the Quad
