
Riverhawks Name Assistant GM, Director Of Player Personnel

The Johnstown Riverhawks of the Atlantic Indoor Football League have announced the hiring of Jaleen Waugh as Assistant General Manager and husband Wayne Waugh as Director of Player Personnel for the 2005 football season. Ms. Waugh, who was born and raised in Richland, PA, previously worked with the Johnstown J-Dogs of the National Indoor Football League as an Office Manager.
Her new duties with the Riverhawks will include obtaining sponsors for upcoming AIFL promotions, overseeing gameday operations and ticket sales, and maintaning office operations.
She graduated from Mount Aloysius Junior College with an Associates Degree in Criminology and received a Bachelors Degree and Paralegal Certificate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Wayne, born and raised in Armagh, is currently the assistant principal at Lignoier Valley High School where he also was a volunteer coach. He held positions with both of Johnstown's pro football teams -- the J-Dogs and the Indoor Football League's Jackals.
With the Riverhawks, he will serve as a coordinator to head coach Brian Basile as well as help build a strong relationship between the players and the community and recruit new players.
Wayne was defensive coordinator for two county championship teams at Aulander (NC) Elementary School and an assistant varsity coach for the 1993 North Carolina Class AAA champion Bertie County High School.
He earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education at IUP and his Masters Degree in Elementary Administration at East Carolina University.
The couple now reside in New Florence, PA with their two children, 13-year-old daugher Morgan and nine-year-old son Patrick.
The Atlantic Indoor Football League is the hottest new professional football league and will kickoff its inaugural season April 1, 2005.
