Rockford RiverHawks News Release
LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks will host their next free youth clinic on Sunday, November 6 at Wallbangers Academy in Loves Park.
The clinic will focus on hitting, and is one of a series of free clinics scheduled through early May 2012. RiverHawks manager Rich Austin, hitting coach Pat O'Sullivan and Junior RiverHawks 15U head coach Justin Small are the instructors for each clinic.
After the November 6 clinic, there are six dates left; December 4, January 8, February 5, March 4, April 1 and May 6. Each date is a Sunday.
Every clinic is broken up into two groups based on age. Kids ages 7 through 12 go from noon-1 p.m., and children 13 and older go from 1-2 p.m. Up to 25 kids can sign up for the clinic, and spots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To reserve a spot, call the RiverHawks front office at (815) 885-BALL.
"We have had a great response to our youth clinics," director of operations Chris Daleo said. "It is just another way the RiverHawks stay involved in the local youth baseball community."
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league that will play its 20th season in 2012. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
