Quad City Riverhawks News Release

Davenport, IA- Quad City Riverhawks General Manager Eric Hutchins announced today that the Riverhawks will be playing their final regular season home game and host a playoff game on the campus of Black Hawk College. The Riverhawks played their first game at Black Hawk College this past Friday defeating the Rockford Fury 124-104.

The Riverhawks had previously played a majority of their home games at Moline's historic Wharton Field House. Quad City has had to move two previous games from Wharton Field House with the moving of the IHSA State Dual Team Wrestling Championships from Northern Illinois University to Moline and the possibility of the Red Cross using the field house an emergency shelter for those who have been forced out of their homes due to the flooding of the Rock River.

"We would like to thank Moline High School and the staff at Wharton Field House for their gracious hospitality this season. Wharton Field House was a wonderful venue for us," stated Hutchins. "We feel that as we gear up for a run at the PBL championship we need a dependable home floor and Black Hawk College has provided that for us."

The Riverhawks host the Jacksonville Slam in the regular season finale Saturday, March 15th at 7:00 PM. Saturday's game will be "Fan Appreciation Day" with prizes that have been donated from Quad City businesses being awarded to fans throughout the game.
