RiverHawks, Buffalo Wings to Support RC Athletics

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks are partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings of Rockford to support Rockford College athletics.

Buffalo Wild Wings, 6275 E. State St., will donate 10 percent of its food sales on Friday to Rockford College athletics.

Although fans can support the Regents at any point during business hours, Friday's featured event runs 6-9 p.m. RiverHawks manager Rich Austin and hitting coach Patrick O'Sullivan will be at Buffalo Wild Wings to sign autographs and meet fans. Customers can also participate in a prize wheel and trivia contest for prizes from the RiverHawks and Buffalo Wild Wings.

"Rockford College athletics is excited to partner with the Rockford RiverHawks and Buffalo Wild Wings," Regents director of sports information Brian Vanden Acker said. "We appreciate their support and look forward to the many RiverHawks and Regents fans who we plan to see Friday."

In order to ensure that their sales go toward Rockford College athletics, customers must use a special ticket available at the door or at Regents athletic events this week.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league that will play its 20th season in 2012. The RiverHawks open their 11th season on May 18 at River City.
